My question is: "How has PETA affected U.S. legislation on animal rights?"

  3. ...I wasn't Chase's partener, but since he was the only other person to post, I guess I'll comment on his question...:
Chase, you have an interesting question. I don't know anything about the MAD Doctrine or much about the cold war, so it would certainly be an interesting essay to read. I just am wondering how a philosophy, or a doctrine, can affect a war. Are you wondering if the reason countries didn't nuke each other is because of the doctrine? Or are you suggesting the reason people built up nuclear arms is an effect of the doctrine?

  4. Connor HElfrich's Question is how much has the deinstitutionalization of america contributed to the amount of homeless people in our country? DEinstitutionalization is "Removing the needy from residential facilities and placing them in the community. Reduction in the size of populations held in institutions of involuntary confinement, primarily mental hospitals". I am very intrigued by connors question because the rate of homeless people living on the streets in America is at an all time high and as we approach winter these people will be faced with trying to survive. I think that the process in which mental hospitals deal with realeasing patients needs to be stricter and have more guidlines than they do now to prevent the increase in homeless americans.

  10. Sean, this is a difficult question to answer. I have little knowledge of subject, so bear with me if I say something incorrect. Iranians were protesting our involvement with the Iranian government. The U.S. supported the shah while many Iranians did not. I know over fifty Americans were taken hostage for over a year. That is a ridiculous amount of time. This question is difficult because it must address our relations with the Iranian government and also their those Iranians who did not favor their own government. The Shah was eventually abolished for good and this may have also put a strain on international relations. I think you'll have to take a look current relations with Iran to find your answer on the affect of the crisis.

  11. Connor,
This is a great question. you might want to look at interviews or articles on people's ideas about the space race for some information on public opinion. Maybe you should also look briefly at the other nations involved in the race and compare them. Good luck, but you have a great start.

  12. Bridget, you spelled my name wrong.

    Bridget's question is:

How has an industry like planned parenthood, an industy baded on racism and eugenics, able to last and become successful into the 21st century.

This is an interesting topic that raises a solid argument. I don't think you need to add the background information of "an industry baded on racism and eugenics". The reader will find out why planned parenthood has been able to last with each of your body paragraphs. Possibly re-phrasing the question to: "How was the industry of planned parenthood able to prosper into the 21st century?", could be more effective.

  14. My question is:

Have electronic messaging systems such as the internet and cell phones impacted teenagers in a positive or negative way?

  15. Chase your question has a strong topic but it might be easier to focus your question in a little more. Maybe you can try and make it so there's a two sided argument or a yes or no question which would make your paper easier to write. I just think the question could be more clear in order to have a strong and organized paper.

  16. Jenny,

You have a really great question. I often see stories on the news about PETA's rallies and campaigns, and they seem to often make a difference on the treatment of animals. I however am not familiar with the laws regarding the rights of animals. You may find it useful to mention the controversy over the "go naked instead of wearing fur" campaigns, as it is sometimes difficult to take the organization seriously when they seem to make their campaigns more about sex appeal than the animals.

  17. Boyd, the O. J. Simpson trial should be very interesting to analyze. Looking at the evidence in the trial and comparing you're own interpretation of the evidence with other people actually involved in the case should be an interesting comparison to look at. Because you're question also revolves around whether the right verdict was made, I think its important to not only look at the evidence that was given, but also identify the important conclusions that the people were able to draw. Taking these conclusions to enhance the quality and accurateness of your own conclusions should create a very compelling argument. It'll be interesting to see what you're able to deduce on such a controversial issue.

  18. Tyler,

I like your question, but be sure to look into every aspect of how this new technology changed teenagers lives before deciding whether it has improved their lives or not. Perhaps you could look how types of communication have changed over the years.

  19. Emily, I think that your question is very good and especially interesting considering the “zebra” assembly that we had earlier this year. It is also interesting because of the famous reputation of New Yorkers to ignore events and the same nature blooming into all of our society, However, it is a very specific question and if you prove it true or false you may want to look into alternate reasons.

  20. Nate, I think that you have a good question. Being a controversial piece of legislation many politicians, most likely, issued at least a statement regarding how they viewed the Patriot Act. If you want to find varied viewpoints look to different politicians' web pages. You could check between parties and regions to compare the different views. The view of an elected official is often a general representation of the many people who elected them. Also to see the effects of the Patriot Act you could also look up other legislation that was past after but prompted by the Patriot Act.

My question is, has man ever landed on the moon?

  22. Geoff, I think your question is a good one, because it does not have a yes or no answer. Asking for causes and effects can provide you with a large blanket for material. It's an interesting question because learning about the causes of the shooting in particular can be rather informative about human behavior.
